EFactor presents: 7 Steps to a Successful Startup
Owning your own business will change your life dramatically! No longer are you a slave to “the man”, you choose your own hours, can work from the comfort of your own home (in your pajamas no less!), can make decisions on your own, and put yourself in control of your destiny.
Everyone wants to be their own boss but not everyone can. Questions about business plans, marketing strategies, niche markets, and funding hold up most people from ever starting their own business.
Starting and expanding your own business can seem overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be! EFactor has teamed up with Naeem Zafar, a serial entrepreneur, to show you the critical first steps involved in getting your business up and running.
Naeem has been involved with SIX start-ups through his career and held the position of CEO for three of them. He has 24 years of experience mentoring and teaching entrepreneurs just like you!
Tony Karrer, CEO/CTO of TechEmpower, will also give a presentation on tips and tricks of starting your own business. With 20 years of experience as CTO (one of which was at eHarmony,) Tony is considered as one of the top technologists in e-Learning.
Seating is limited and only those who pre-register are guaranteed a spot! Register today if you are serious about changing your life and earning more money!
"The event was truly helpful. Naeem Zafar has a brilliant talent at being able to cut through the fog and focusing the entrepreneur's attention on what is relevant. An absolute 'must attend' before you start your next venture." - Moyez Thanawalla, US Logix.
“…Thank you for offering one of the most beneficial workshops that I have attended in some time. I now have a better understanding of the startup process and a succinct path to follow thanks to your teaching. It was truly a delightful experience being around you." - Teresa Lopez, founder EQS Inc.

LA is such a spread-out place that it makes it hard to get entrepreneurs together in one place on any evening. I teach entrepreneurship at the University of California Berkeley and I am a paracticing serial entrepreneur who conducted this workshop "7 Steps to a Successful Startup - the essential homework you must do before you quit your day job". I wrote a few books about the whole startup process and advise dozons of entrerpeneurs (www.Startup-Advistor.com). I was followed by a presentation from Tony Karrer, CEO of Tech Empower and founder team member of eHarmony.
Our audience mingled wiht each other over pizza before the event started. Everyone there ranged from ambitious entrepreneurs to experienced business people and faculty people from USC business school. There was a fair amount of active participants during the Q&A and after the event ended. We both complemented each other quite nicely as I provided a structure about how one thinks about the process of starting up and provided a frame work to start a business. While Tony brought practical experience from his own journey while at eHarmony. The mixture provided a border perspective for the audience.
I think the Q&A was the most dynamic part of the event, the participation was excellent. The participants were very open in their questions and we were able to be very detailed in our answers. Our styles allowed us to mix humor with anecdotes and added color from having eight startups between the two of us.
