Finally: structured intelligence about what people are saying online

I know there are lots of people in mainstream corporate life struggle to deal with social media because it doesn’t fit into organisations’ research – manage - measure kind of approach. That’s why I want to share with you a service I’ve just seen that – as far as I can tell – seems to provide the structured intelligence and data businesspeople need in relation to social media – and in fact, everything their business is doing online.
It’s a service offered by yourBusinessChannel – called yBC Insight - and I guess you’d describe it as an easily digestible set of business information which helps you understand what’s being said about topics online, who’s saying them and where. Particularly in relation to your own business, or your competitors’.
The demonstration I saw from the team showed how they can search around topics and get hard data about thing like the sentiments being expressed, who the influencers are and much more. They then apply plenty of analytics and if need be have the capability to drill down into the data and generate real insights – and what I saw in the demo impressed me greatly.
I probably haven’t done yBC Insight justice here really in terms of what the team can do, but thought it was worth sharing the fact that this service exists. I know getting hard data around social media and demonstrating ROI is a really big issue for lots of people out there.
Happy to talk to anyone who wants to find out more about it. And I can also point you in the direction of someone who understands it more than me.
