Last week has been very busy. After my meeting with Martijn I’ve been working on 2 samples for my first collection. I can’t sow, cut or design so this has been a small challenge for me.
Also, this week the Amsterdam International Fashion Week started, something I really like. For me it’s an inspiring week with a lot of events I would like to visit. I can’t visit them all especially the catwalk shows, which are open only for invitees. Luckily I had been invited for yesterday’s Badgley Mischka show, which was great. A true inspiration. After and before the show I had a few talks with people from the business.
Later this week I will attend the Blue Blood catwalk show, which will be great, I hope. When I’m there, it would be nice to meet more people. Please let me know if you’re there!
Further, I had a meeting with someone from the ‘Ondernemershuis West-Binnen de Ring’. She helped me with some tips and tricks in order to find a suitable workspace for me in Amsterdam. One of the possibilities is sharing a space with someone else or use a spare room somewhere. So, if anyone has anything available, I’m interested.
One of the most important things for me to do now is tweaking my business plan (especially the finance part), in order to raise capital. I’m still looking for some help with that. I guess I will use my network for this.
Things are going well now, there are a few issue to be solved before I go on holiday to Italy (hopefully inspiring).
