Matt Matros, founder of Protein Bar (www.theproteinbar(dot)com), created the go-to destination for individuals seeking quick and delicious menu options they need to live a healthy, active lifestyle. He developed his concept after practicing a high-protein diet himself that resulted in a 60-lb weight loss. After spending three and a half years in brand management for Kraft Foods, Matt decided to venture out on his own, applying his own personal health achievements and food industry expertise to this original business concept. Find out what gave him the spark to finally embark on his nutritional journey.
Julia Stamberger, President and CEO of GoPicnic® Brands Inc. In 2006, Julia founded GoPicnic to bring her concept of nutritionally balanced, ready‐to‐eat meals to new markets. The company has experienced significant growth to date with airlines, hotels, events, foodservice, and online retail. Under her leadership, GoPicnic was honored with the Illinois Innovation award in 2007 as one of the up and coming new businesses in the state.
Kim Shambrook, Executive Chef & President of Bespoke Cuisine, a cooking party and catering business in Chicago. She and co-owner, Jeannie Lukow started Bespoke Cuisine in 2002 and have grown the business over the past ten years into Chicago’s premier cooking party company.
William Reeder, President of Campus Cooks, the leader in fraternity and sorority kitchen management. Campus Cooks is at 20 college campuses and over 70 houses. Bill expects this number to grow and is already projecting several new campuses, as well as still developing current campuses.
