Biography:
Anne van der Zwaag studied Modern and Contemporary Art at the University of Utrecht and lectured at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, the University of Utrecht, University of Antwerp and the Instituto Europeo del Design in Milan. She writes and edits publications in the fields of art, fashion, design and architecture and works as an art director, curator, publicist and researcher for different cultural and educational institutions. Her projects tend to have an interdisciplinary character; researching and realizing crossovers between different creative disciplines is essential to her approach. She strongly believes in combining theory and practice and stimulates this by connecting exhibitions, manifestations and events to discussions, symposiums and publications.
Anne visits the most important international art and design fairs on a yearly basis.

Anne is chairwoman of the art magazine Mister Motley and boardmember of the multimedia installation Dropstuff/Pleinmuseum and the art foundation Brotherhood. She advises the Dutch Design Center-Initiative, a platform for design and architecture, the Dream Amsterdam Foundation, Stichting DOEN, het Materiaalfonds and the Mondriaan Foundation. Anne works as a creative consultant for several companies and is a coach for the international entrepreneurs network E-Factor.
