In her former life, she spotted young talent for the magazine "Eye" and continues this now under her own label Second Sight - taking it to a next level. As Andrea explains: "Second Sight is aimed at improving understanding of the profession Trend Watching and share various visions for our future with my audience. I think trendwatching, forecasting, trendanalysis or research - whatever you may call it - is a very important profession as much in the world is changing more and more rapidly. Whether you look at a new hype, or fashion or at mentality changes that are rooted deep in society's fabric. I like to look at the World in transition - offering unique chances and opportunities for those that care to see it"
Ronald Hooft - Interior Design for Bars & Clubs.
Using mixed colours, textures and periods to come up with Sinners, an Amsterdam club with a stairway to Heaven.
As a graduate from the Rietveld Academy, Ronald Hooft has developed an eye and a feel for design. His most succesful projects are Amsterdam nightclubs Hotel Arena and Escape and restaurants as Brasserie Harkema.
The atteion to colour and the mixture of textures and periods is typical of Hooft, who calls the style ' tight but cosy' . He adapts his personal taste and interpretation of fashion to the individual client. In designing a nightclub, he says that the task is ' to make a space attractive for people right now. You can't be too avant garde; you have to be spot-on in terms of style.' Though Hooft believes that the style of a club interior is unlikely to remain relevant for more than five years, his structural refurbishment of Sinners appears sound enough to last for a decade or more. ' If you peel of the skin, what you ar e left with is still a great space.'
The Event will be moderated by Micky Hoogendijk.
