Biography:

When I was in junior high, I remember coming home one day and my Dad was home from work early. He was in our living room with my Mom and a co-worker of his and they were drinking champagne. It turned out that the company my Dad had been with since he started his career was being bought out. He had been buying into the company stock all those years and with the sale of his stock he was going to be a Millionaire.

As with many people who come into a large windfall of money, my parents started buying nice cars and jewelry, they put in a pool and finished out the basement, and we started going on nice trips everywhere. After all of this and some bad investment scams my Dad got lured into, within a few years the money was gone.

After personally experiencing what my family went through I always had in the back of my mind that if somewhere along my career path I could help people not make the same mistakes then that would be my passion. In 2003, being a minority in my profession, I began my career as a Personal C.F.O. (Chief Financial Officer) to working women. I have earned a Personal Financial Specialist designation and was featured in The Birmingham Business Journal
