About Tatiana Afanasyeva

I grew up and lived most of my life in Russia. I came to the US at the age of 16 to study Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and graduated at the age of 22 with a Master of Arts degree focusing on international development. I have worked, studied, and traveled all over the world, and along the way learned to appreciate different cultures and traditions. I now speak 6 languages: Russian, English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Turkish, and Bulgarian and look forward to learning more.

Throughout my professional experiences I developed extensive project management, communications, and facilitation skills. I am crazy about digital marketing and possess a genuine passion for assisting organizations in solving complex problems through analytical frameworks. As a Media Coordinator in Ecuador, I developed and executed successful advertising campaign to support the abolishment of child labor practices. As a consultant in Guatemala, I developed and applied educational research solutions, including new curriculum methodologies, to improve literacy rates in 3 indigenous communities.

Currently, I am a Marketing Strategist and a Global Events Manager at EFactor. Our team organizes global networking/educational events for entrepreneurs across more than 6 countries and 15 cities. We are crossing borders and cultures to unite and educate entrepreneurs all around the world.
