Registration for this event has ended.

Event Recap

The event kicked off with informative keynotes from Greg Grove of Much Shelist and Alexandra Dowling of Jenner & Block. They both discussed the various legal and tax aspects that entrepreneurs need to consider when stating and running a business. After the two keynotes, an engaging panel discussion took place with the two keynotes who were joined by tax accountant, Charles Olson. Topics of discussion included registering a business, legal structure of a business, share dilution, spousal shareholders, and finding mentors.

Testimonials

"Last night’s E-Factor workshop was excellent.  Your guest speakers spoke to the letter and spirit of law for entrepreneurs, as well as esoteric realities of “wiggle room” within which small business owners can maneuver while finding their way through start-up financing and growth. Questions from the floor were particularly specific, often coming close to asking for legal advice instead of professional perspective.  At least among those who probably cannot yet afford top-quality legal counsel, this tightly focused meeting dynamic proves the hunger for rudimentary guidance in law and accountancy."

"I very much enjoyed the E-Factor even on Legal Aspects for Entrepreneurs.  The very smart panel of tax and legal professionals offered many practical and important tips for entrepreneurs and small businesses. I found the combination of short presentations along with the interactive panel Q&A to be engaging and informative.  I look forward to another event!"
